Can AI Do That?
I’ve spent more than 20 years refining a visual language, balancing chaos and control, layering strokes with intention. With AI advancing, I wondered: could it learn my hand? I trained models on my work, even using my name and website as prompts. The results? Interesting, but ultimately failures. AI could echo fragments, but the balance was always off—too rigid, too mechanical. The soul of the work, that numinous moment where complexity meets grace, remained out of reach. Art for me is an instinct I could no sooner put into words than I could explain how to fly or swim. AI, for now, can’t grasp that balance. If you yourself are up for the challenge, try recreating it yourself using AI tools and contact me by email with the results. You can see my experiments at www.brightfuturism.com or find me on YouTube and Instagram.
